Headstart Childcare ("we", "us", "our") cares for children, and we take the trust families place in us seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or enquire about child care, including through our ads on Facebook and Instagram, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Headstart Childcare is a child care provider in Regina, Saskatchewan, operated by Farhat. We are responsible for the personal information we collect and handle it in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
When you fill out an enquiry form (including a Facebook or Instagram lead form), call, text or email us, we may collect:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your child's first name and age or date of birth
- The program, schedule and start date you are interested in
- Any questions or notes you choose to share with us
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and answer your questions
- To contact you about availability, tours, waitlist spots and enrolment
- To send occasional updates about our programs, only where you have agreed to receive them
- To keep records we are required to keep by law
We only use your information for the purposes it was collected for, or as you have agreed to.
Facebook and Instagram ads
When you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta Platforms shares the information you entered with us so we can follow up. Meta's own handling of your information is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy. We may use Meta's advertising tools to measure how our ads perform and to show ads to people likely to be interested in child care. You can manage the ads you see in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us run our child care, such as our phone, email and website providers, and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law.
How long we keep it
If you enquire but do not enrol, we keep your information for up to 12 months so we can follow up about openings, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time. Records for enrolled families are kept as long as required by Saskatchewan child care regulations.
How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to protect your information, and only staff who need it to do their jobs can access it.
Your choices and rights
- Ask what information we hold about you and request a copy
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your information
- Stop marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us

Children's information
Our ads and forms are meant for parents and guardians. We only collect information about a child from their parent or legal guardian.
